Wajirat is located in the Northern part of Ethiopia. Dr. Kiros Mulu Technical and Vocational School in Wajirat was established 9 years ago. It was founded to give the young adults in the region a life changing vocational skills and hope. The school currently serves two hundred students. Both young men and women between the ages of 17-22. Students come from the town as well as surrounding villages. All the students are first in their families to attend school. The school has classrooms but lacks basic necessities like educational supplies & materials, access to clean running water, efficient electricity, women’s restroom, canteen, etc.

The common reason, why the students said they attended the school, was to better their families lives. The students wish to remain in their villages and support their families and communities.
